Department of Geography (B.A. 3rd Year) had altogether 17 students for the session 2016-17. All of them qualified their degree examination with good percentage of marks. Out of the total, 8 students had sat for the entrance for their Post Graduation in Sikkim University. Entrance was held in four different centres of Darjeeling, Gangtok, Siliguri and Kolkata. Altogether 230 applicants had appeared for the test competing for 25 seats. However, 5 of the students who qualified the entrance were our students from the Department of Geography, Salesian College. Their achievements have been well appreciated by all and have become the source of inspiration for the new batches to come. These 5 students have already taken their admissions and are waiting for their classes to begin from 14th July, 2017.
